Author's POV:-
Abhira was sleeping on rajveer's shoulder in the car and whereas rajveer was continuously glacing at abhira and smiling at her as she tightly hugged his shoulder and murmured something .
"hayeee, meri wifuu" , rajveer whispered (as abhira was sleeping and he didn't wanted to disturb her ),by placing his palm on his chest .
And abhira's hair was coming in her face and her was stirred because of that and rajveer observed it and he should moved her hairs behind her ear .
and then as he was moving away from abhira , just then a jerk due to the car break , rajveer felt on abhira and it made her come out from her deep sleep and both rajveer's and abhira eyes meets and rajveer could feel abhira's breath on his chest .
In that movement , "sir we have reached to mall ", driver said and that made rajveer to get up and sit straight and abhira too got up .
As abhira entered in the mall , she thoughed at rajveer's sleeve and said "puchku , play zone please", she requested by showing her finger at fifth floor of the mall where the play zone is there.
"hmm ,ok ok , first we will go to play zone and then we will buy new clothes to you ", rajveer said .
Abhira was bouncing with the joy and clapping her hands .
They both went into elevator and there were no people in that .
Suddenly, the elevator gave a jolt, the lights flickering as it shuddered to a halt.
Rajveer raised an eyebrow. “Uh-oh. That doesn’t sound good,” he said, glancing at the control panel, which blinked erratically.
The lights dimmed even further, casting a spooky glow around them. Abhira, who moments before had been relaxed, suddenly hugged Rajveer tightly, burying her face into his chest.
“p -puchku! The monster’s coming! It’s like the movie! The one with the big, scary shadows!” she whimpered, her voice trembling like a scared little girl.
Rajveer smiled softly at her innocent fear, but his heart was pounding too. He pulled her closer, trying to comfort her. “Shh, it’s just a technical issue. No monsters here.” His voice was calm, but he glanced nervously at the flickering lights.
The elevator shuddered again, causing both of them to stumble slightly. Then, the sound of metal creaking echoed through the small space.
“puchku ! I hear it! The monster!” Abhira cried out, squeezing him tighter, her voice rising in panic.
Rajveer, despite the tension, let out a nervous chuckle. "Why would they want to come and harm the god of monsters, abhira ” rajveer indirectly Said to abhira that she is a god of monsters
Abhira giggled, her voice still carrying that childish lilt. “You’re silly, puchku. Here I can't see any god of monsters !” She pouted but couldn’t hold back a laugh as Rajveer exaggerated a heroic pose.
Just then, the elevator gave another lurch, and the lights went out entirely. Abhira yelped in surprise, clutching Rajveer like her life depended on it. Rajveer, on the other hand, let out a mock scream of terror.
“HELLO?! SOMEBODY HELP!” he yelled in a dramatic tone, knocking on the elevator door. “im the only good husband of my wife . Arey abhi tak hum di o ko suhagraat tak nahi huwi hai, itni jaldi mat karo yaar!”, rajveer shouted
Abhira started giggling uncontrollably at his antics, her earlier fear forgotten. “puchku! You’re scared ” she teased, still laughing. “Big baby puchku!”
Rajveer huffed in mock anger. “I’m not scared! I just don’t don't want to die us without becoming mom and dad ”
"Puchku how will we become mumma and daddy ? I'm still a child naa?", abhira asked innocently to rajveer
"Bacha, you don't worry I will make us mumma papa ok", rajveer assured her , knowing that abhira still didn't understood his word's meaning
Abhira giggled again, clutching his arm, her earlier fear dissolving into amusement. But her laughter only made Rajveer act more over-the-top.
“Open the doors, people! I have my wife here, and she’s terrified! This is no time for horror movie shenanigans!”
Abhira continued to giggle, finding his exaggerated panic adorable. “puchku, it’s just an elevator. We’re not going to die!” she said, her childish mindset making light of the situation.
"Wahi tho mera dar hai ", rajveer whispered to himself
As the elevator continued to make strange noises, Abhira held on to Rajveer again, this time for comfort but still laughing. Rajveer, slightly embarrassed by her teasing, muttered under his breath, “You think this is funny, huh? You’ll see who’s laughing when we’re out of this!”
Finally, with a groaning noise, the elevator slowly started to move again, though with a few jerky stops that made it seem like it was possessed. Rajveer, trying to maintain his dignity, shouted, “I’m never taking this elevator again!”
The doors finally slid open, and the mall manager was waiting outside, looking concerned. “What happened? Are you both alright, sir ?”
Rajveer, still slightly flustered from the whole experience, turned to the manager, his voice dripping with exaggerated exasperation. “What’s going on? I’ll tell you what’s going on! This elevator tried to murder us! My lady here was scared out of her mind!”
Abhira, still holding onto Rajveer’s arm, laughed. “Raj said the monster was scared of his face!”
The manager blinked in confusion, unsure how to respond. “Uh... Are you both okay?”
Rajveer rolled his eyes dramatically. “Does it look like we’re okay? We just survived a haunted elevator! The lady here is traumatized, and my wife scared. Do you know how scary that is?”
The manager scratched his head. “Sir, it’s just a technical malfunction—”
“Malfunction?! You call that a malfunction? I call it a near-death experience!” Rajveer huffed, but his tone was more playful than angry.
The manager, looking confused, tried to apologize, but Rajveer interrupted, “Fix that elevator before it eats someone alive!”
Abhira grabbed Rajveer’s hand, tugging him away from the scene. “Come on, puchku ! Let’s go play!”
They headed towards the mall’s play zone, the stress of the elevator ride quickly forgotten as Abhira dragged him towards a row of games. After a few rounds of arcade basketball and racing games, Abhira spotted an ice cream stand nearby. She turned to Rajveer, eyes sparkling like a little girl’s.
“Rajveer! Ice cream!” she exclaimed, jumping up and down with excitement.
He chuckled, unable to say no to her enthusiasm. “Alright, which one do you want?”
Abhira pointed eagerly to a large cone with multiple flavors. As she devoured her ice cream, Rajveer realized just how much joy such a simple treat brought her. “Is ice cream your favorite?” he asked, genuinely curious.
She nodded vigorously, mouth full of ice cream. “Mhmm! The best!” she said, still sounding like a child.
After the ice cream, Abhira led Rajveer towards a fancy clothing store,
Later, they walked into a luxurious fashion store where Rajveer decided to treat Abhira to some new clothes. The owner personally greeted them.
Owner (excitedly): "Welcome, sir! What can I show you today?"
Rajveer (casually): "Show Abhira anything she likes. It’s her day today."
Abhira’s eyes widened at the beautiful lehengas on display and they were of bridal lengha. She ran from one outfit to another, her childlike wonder evident in every move.
“puchku! Look at this one! It’s so sparkly!” she squealed, pointing at a gorgeous, heavily embroidered lehenga.
Rajveer noticed her excitement and walked up beside her, smiling softly. “Do you want that one?”
Abhira’s face lit up. “Can I? Can I really?”
Rajveer nodded, smiling at her. “Of course. Let’s get it for you.”
Abhira’s joy was infectious as she twirled around, overwhelmed by the beautiful clothes. But soon, she became confused, her childlike mind unsure of what to choose. “I like this one... but also that one... and this one too... I can’t pick!”
Rajveer chuckled softly, turning to the worker. “We’ll take them all.”
The worker’s eyes widened. “All of them, sir?”
Rajveer (grinning): "Yes, everything. Just pack up the whole store if you have to."
Abhira blinked in surprise, looking at Rajveer, confused.
Abhira said "puchku... I can’t wear everything at once!"
Rajveer (laughing) said "Don't worry, you’ll have time. Besides, you looked so happy when you saw the clothes. Let’s just make sure you have everything you like."
The worker hurried off to pack up the clothes, and soon enough, they left the store, arms full of shopping bags. Rajveer joked about avoiding the elevator, given their recent "adventure."
While Rajveer and Abhira were walking out, Rajveer received a call from Gaurav, asking him to meet alone in the parking area.
Rajveer said "Stay here with the bodyguards. I need to go talk to someone. I won’t be long." said to abhira , gently
Abhira nodded, happily munching on her ice cream, as Rajveer went down to the parking lot where Gaurav waited, looking tense.
Rajveer (approaching Gaurav) said "What’s wrong? You found something?"
Gaurav handed Rajveer a file, his face serious. Rajveer opened it, and his eyes widened in shock as he saw the photograph of Abhira's parents. His heart stopped when he saw a familiar face staring back at him.
Rajveer (shocked, panicking) said "No... it can’t be her. Akshara? No, no... this can’t be Abhira’s mother!"
Gaurav remained silent as Rajveer’s mind raced. Akshara, the woman in the photo, was a part of his past—a part he had never expected to resurface. How could she be Abhira's mother? Rajveer’s confusion and fear grew as he stood there, trying to make sense of it all.
Rajveer (to himself, panicking)and said "This doesn't make any sense... Akshara... why her?"
Rajveer whispered, his voice barely audible, panic creeping into his veins. "That woman can't be Abhira's mother."
His mind raced with confusion, unsure of what to believe.
