Author's POV:-
Abhira's terrified sobs filled the room as she clung tightly to Rajveer's back, her small hands clutching his shirt like a lifeline. "Puchku... please," she whimpered, her voice trembling. "Please let him go. Please don't hurt him."
Rajveer's jaw clenched, his fury still burning like an inferno. He ignored the pleading voices of Preeta, Rudransh, and Aliya , his focus was singular-making Rehan pay for his vile accusations.
But Abhira's soft cries broke through his rage.
"Puchku," she whispered again, her tears soaking into his back. "I'm scared... leave him .. Please... for me."
Rajveer froze. Her sobs racked her fragile body as she clung to him, her face buried in his shoulder. He could feel her tears soaking through his shirt, her fear piercing through the storm of his rage.
Slowly, his grip on Rehan loosened. He let out a ragged breath and released him with a rough shove, causing Rehan to collapse on the floor, groaning in pain.
Rajveer turned to Abhira, his hands trembling as he gently cupped her tear-streaked face. ""It's okay, baby," he murmured,"I'm here. Don't cry, bachaa. I'm sorry I scared you."
Abhira shook her head, her tiny fists still clutching his shirt. "Don't say sorry, Puchku... Just don't... don't be angry anymore. It scares me..."
Rajveer pulled her into his arms, hugging her tightly as if shielding her from the world. His hands stroked her back gently, his touch as soft and careful as if she were made of glass. "Shh... it's okay. I'm here. I'll never let anyone hurt you. I promise."
Abhira buried her face in his chest, her sobs muffled against him. "I-I don't want you to get hurt, Puchku... please don't fight like that again..." she repeated again
Rajveer kissed her forehead tenderly, his voice low and soothing. "I won't, my love. I promise. You don't need to be scared anymore." He held her close, rocking her slightly, his touch careful and sensitive as if she were a child needing
The room was still tense as everyone watched the scene unfold. Rudransh finally broke the silence, stepping forward and casting a disgusted look at Rehan, who was struggling to sit up.
"You know, Rehan," Rudransh taunted, his voice cold. "Even after everything you've done to her, even after your filthy accusations, she saved you from Rajveer. That's the kind of heart she has-a heart you'll never understand".
Rehan's lips twisted into a cruel smirk, despite the pain on his face. "Oh, is that what you think?" he sneered. "Arey chotu , you are still a child to understand these types of things. Abhira loves me and she can't see me in pain, so she saved me from rajveer".
The room froze, Rehan's vile words hanging in the air like poison. Abhira stiffened in Rajveer's arms, her wide eyes filling with confusion and fear
"You disgusting-" Rajveer growled, stepping toward Rehan, his hand raised to strike. But before he could, a sharp sound cut through the tension.
Preeta had slapped Rehan hard across the face, her eyes blazing with fury. "How dare you?" she spat, her voice trembling with rage. "How dare you insult my daughter-in-law like that? You're a disgrace!"
"No!" she cried out, shaking her head vehemently. "I don't love you! I don't! I stopped Puchku because... because I didn't want him to do bad things. I don't want him to get hurt or punished. Puchku is good... he's not bad like you.you're not fit to be called a brother or a husband!"
Rehan's smirk faltered as he glared at Preeta, but he said nothing.
Rajveer, still holding Abhira protectively, glared at Rehan with icy fury. "Don't you dare speak her name again," he growled, his voice deadly calm. "If you ever so much as look at her the wrong way, I'll forget what mercy means and I will not listen to abhira like I did today. Even abhira cannot Stop me if you again try to drag my wife in your dirty games."rajveer growled tightly hugging Abhira protectively
His gaze turned cold and sharp as he looked at Prachi, who was standing silently on corner of the hall , trembling with fear , his voice calm yet laced with an unmistakable warning.
"Don't you dare to involve Abhira in your failures, Prachi bhabhi," he said, his tone cutting through the silence like a blade. "Your issues with Rehan have nothing to do with her. Keep her name out of your pathetic games."
Rudransh, standing near the doorway, smirked and added his taunt. "prachi bhabhi ,maybe instead of accusing others, you should take a good, hard look at your own marriage. Blaming Abhira for Rehan's actions just proves your incapabilities."
Prachi's face turned red with embarrassment and anger, but before she could retaliate, Rehan spoke again, his voice oozing malice.
"Why don't you all stop pretending?" Rehan sneered, leaning against the wall despite his pain. "Everyone here knows that Abhira and I are the perfect match. Even God doesn't want Rajveer and Abhira to stay together."
The words hit the room like a thunderclap, making Preeta's eyes widen in shock. She stepped forward, her voice trembling with anger. "Rehan, enough!"
But Rehan wasn't finished. He turned to Preeta, his smirk growing darker. "Do you remember what the pandit ji said about Rajveer's horoscope? Or have you conveniently forgotten the curse tied to him?"
Preeta froze, her hands trembling slightly as her mind reeled back to a memory buried deep within. Her voice dropped to a whisper, her eyes distant. "pandit ji ... he said..." she began, hesitant and almost fearful to continue. "He said the girl born on that rajanika day (which comes on every hundred years) would kill Rajveer... if she ever married him."
Disclaimer:- it's just fictional
Gasps filled the room, and Abhira looked up at Rajveer with tearful, confused eyes. "Puchku?" she whispered softly, clutching his sleeve. "What does that mean?"
Rajveer didn't respond, his jaw clenched tightly as his dark gaze remained fixed on Rehan.
Rehan's smirk widened as he delivered the final blow. "That girl is Abhira," he declared triumphantly. "She's the one born on that day. And you all still think God wants them to stay together? No, this is destiny, maa. Abhira was meant for me, not Rajveer. Even the universe agrees-why else would fate align to plan Rajveer's death?"
The room was plunged into a stunned silence. Preeta, overcome with disbelief and anger, stepped forward and slapped Rehan across the face with all the strength she could muster.
Before Rehan could utter another word, Preeta stormed forward and slapped him hard across the face. "Enough, Rehan!" she shouted, her voice trembling with fury and heartbreak.
"How did my son become this monster?" she cried, her voice shaking. "Is this what my upbringing led to? I don't know where I went wrong in raising you and in reaching you values ", preeta sobbed seeing the true colours of Rehan.
Consumed by her anger, she shoved Rehan backward, her fury evident in her every move. Turning sharply to Aliya, she barked, "Aliya! Bring me the broomstick. Now!"
Aliya hesitated briefly, glancing at the shocked faces around her, but Preeta's commanding tone left no room for argument. Moments later, she handed over the broomstick, and Preeta didn't waste a second. She began striking Rehan furiously.
"You've brought nothing but shame to this family, Rehan!" she shouted, each strike punctuating her words.
Rehan groaned, attempting to shield himself, but Preeta's rage didn't waver. Before she could land another hit, a loud voice interrupted, booming through the chaos.
"Stop it, Preeta!" a loud voice echoed in hall
Everyone turned to see Dadiji stepping out of her room, her expression a mixture of exasperation and curiosity. Dressed impeccably as always, her movements were deliberate, as if she were walking onto a stage.
Dadiji had been peacefully lounging in her room, enjoying her daily dose of TV dramas-shows she never missed, no matter the circumstances. In fact, she prided herself on knowing every twist, turn, and betrayal in every soap opera imaginable. And why would she miss the drama unfolding live in her own house? It was too tempting to pass up.
how could she resist coming out? This was better than any TV serial-front-row seats to real-life chaos.
"I swear, Preeta," Dadiji began with a sardonic tone, "you are punishing the wrong person - the ' innocent 'one by leaving the real culprit ", dadiji sneered
But Dadiji's eyes shifted toward Abhira, who was standing beside Rajveer, her face pale and tear-streaked. A gleam of disdain sparkled in Dadiji's eyes as she pointed her finger dramatically at Abhira
"And you!" she spat, her words dripping with venom. "This girl is a curse! A threat to Rajveer's life! She'll kill him one day, just like that pandit ji predicted. I already said you , Aryan and rajveer to throw this girl out of our lives when rajveer was hospitalized ".
"Ever since this girl stepped into our home, disaster has followed ", Dadiji spat, her eyes narrowing as she unleashed her tirade. The problems started the moment she entered this family! Rajveer has been on the edge of death multiple times because of her.My husband, my younger son, my younger daughter in law were killed-and now look at the state of this family. Brothers are fighting like enemies, and chaos has become a daily affair. And all of it... all of it... started with her!"
Her words hung in the air like poison, silencing everyone. Abhira's grip on Rajveer tightened as her lips quivered. Tears welled in her innocent eyes, but she didn't utter a word .
"No , no i didn't killed anyone...... I didn't tried to kill puchku ", abhira murmured, trembling with pain and unable to bear dirty accusations on her .
" Am I really a bad girl", he asked to herself
"That's enough, Dadiji!" His voice was firm, his words cutting through the tension like a blade. " this is not your daily show ."
Dadiji scoffed, her tone dripping with disbelief. "Enough? You're defending her even now? Can't you see? She's the reason you've suffered so much! She will kill you rajveer,Why can't you understand?"
Rajveer's eyes blazed with fury, but his voice remained calm, steady, and unwavering. "You don't know what you're saying," he began, his voice firm but filled with controlled anger. "If you want to accuse someone, accuse me. But don't you dare blame Abhira for the misfortunes in this family. She's not the reason for the problems; she's the reason I'm still alive!"
The room fell silent as everyone turned to Rajveer, his voice growing louder with conviction.
"She's the one who saved me from every danger! She's the one who took a bullet in her chest meant for me!" His voice cracked slightly as the memory flashed before his eyes. "She nearly lost her life protecting me, and you stand here accusing her?" rajveer spated
"She is not the reason for Dadaji , chacha and chachiji's death. Because of my enimes they all died . If you want to blame anyone, then blame me- not abhira. She is the one who saved me when I got stabbed ", he continued "She didn't give up on me, not for a second. And when I couldn't see the truth-when I was blinded by the lies of the people around me-it was she who showed me the true colors of the evil in this family. She's the reason I know who my real enemies are. And she's the reason I'm standing here today."
Rajveer's voice softened, but his words carried weight. "Abhira is not just my wife-she's my life. If you want to call someone a curse, look elsewhere. But as long as I'm alive, I will not let anyone hurt or blame Abhira for things she's not responsible for. She's my strength, my protector, and my everything. She gave me the love which I was craving for, which u thought I wouldn't experience it in this life. She is the reason of my life", rajveer said, wrapping his arm around abhira's should, pulling her close
" I would like to die but I will never leave her ", rajveer cleared to everyone
"I don't know why our society stamps the daughter in laws of their house as a bad omen when something bad happens in their house. Why always wife should get blamed in every issue?", rajveer spated
Rehan, seizing the moment, began to manipulate the situation to his advantage. He smirked and slyly suggested,"dadiji you want rajveer to be safe right? Then why can't you throw me nad Abhira out of this house and seperate Abhira and rajveer legally and and let us marry.
But before anyone could respond,
"Chup kar gandi nali ke kede !", a loud voice echoed through the hall
All turn toward the entrance, only to see Manish and Swarna to stand there
Manish stormed into the hall, fury evident in his eyes. His gaze immediately locked onto Rehan, and "tuu ghadha! ( You donkey )" , without a second thought, he hurled his shoe at Rehan's face, the sound of it whistling through the air before it hit Rehan with a satisfying thud.
Rajveer's lips curled into a brief, satisfied smirk as he watched Rehan stumble back, while Abhira let out a quiet, relieved sigh. But before she could fully absorb the moment of satisfaction, a wave of discomfort suddenly hit her. Her breath caught in her chest, her face twisted in sudden pain
The shift in Abhira's demeanor was immediate and alarming. Her body stiffened, and her eyes widened in panic.
Suddenly, Abhira clutched Rajveer's arm tightly, her nails digging into his skin as she let out a faint gasp. Her body tensed, and her face twisted in panic as her breathing became erratic. Her chest heaved as if the air was being stolen from her lungs, and she let out a trembling, "Ahhh..."
Rajveer turned to her, his face instantly etched with concern. "Abhira?" he called out loudly
Before she could collapse, Rajveer caught her, wrapping an arm around her waist while his other hand cupped her face gently.
"Abhira, bachaa what's wrong? Look at me jaan ", rajveer pleaded Abhira, his voice trembling as he tried to steady her. But she couldn't respond; her lips quivered as another faint gasp escaped her. "Ahhh... Ah..." she managed to choke out, her hand gripping his shirt desperately.
"Abhira, beta kya huwa ( what happened?)", Swarna cried out rushing near Abhira
"Beta , Sambhal apne aap ko ", Manish said, his voice laced with concern and fear of losing his grandchild
Without wasting a moment, Rajveer scooped her up gently and carried her to the couch. He sat her down carefully, kneeling before her, his hands firmly gripping her shoulders to keep her upright. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, and she gasped again, her face contorted in pain.
In between Peeta barked at Aliya "alu , kitchen mein abhira keliye Pani laka (alu , go to kitchen and bring Water for Abhira)
Aliya nooded and rushed to kitchen
"Abhira, look at me. Breathe," Rajveer commanded softly, his voice filled with both urgency and care. He leaned closer, his hand gently brushing her hair back from her damp forehead. "In and out. Focus on me",
Abhira shook her head, still gasping, her hands trembling as she clutched her stomach. "Ahhh...i.... " she whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks.
" you can," Rajveer said firmly, his thumb gently brushing her cheek as he cupped her face again. "I'm here, Abhira. Nothing will happen to you."
Her chest rose and fell rapidly as she gasped, her breaths shallow and uneven
" Maa , I will call Dr, dua", rudransh said to preeta, his voice urgent and took out his phone to daily dua
Rajveer knelt in front of her, his eyes locked onto hers, his face mere inches away. "Focus on me, okay? Just me. Close your eyes if it helps, but match my breathing." He inhaled deeply, then exhaled slowly, exaggerating the motion to guide her. "In... and out. Slowly. You're safe."
Abhira tried to follow his lead, her breaths still shaky. "Ahhh..." she whimpered again, but her gasps began to slow. Rajveer continued to murmur soothingly, his hands never leaving her. "That's it. You're doing great, Abhira. I've got you."
Abhira followed rajveer's instructions and breath in and out .
"Bacha, breath. Inhale and exhale", preeta also instructed abhira, rubbing abhira's back
Her breathing finally began to even out, though her body still trembled slightly. Rajveer brushed a strand of hair away from her face, his touch tender. "See? You're okay," he whispered, pressing a reassuring kiss to her forehead.
Abhira leaned forward slightly, resting her head on his chest, her breaths now soft but exhausted. "p -puchku..." she murmured weakly, her voice filled with trust and vulnerability.
Rajveer tightened his hold on her, cradling her gently like a fragile bird.
Both hugged each other tightly, like if they leave eachother, the world would end
"You scared me Abhira", rajveer whispered, trying not let to his tears to come out
"Sorry puchku", Abhira murmured, tears streaming down her cheeks
Suddenly Manish pushed rajveer away from Abhira, breaking their hug
Manish stormed toward Rajveer, his face dark with rage as he caught sight of Rajveer and Abhira locked in a comforting embrace. "This is all your fault, Rajveer!" Manish roared, his voice shaking the room. "You and your cursed family have destroyed her life!"
"No , no , puchku didn't hurt me . Puchku good , not bad boy ", abhira defended rajveer, clutching his hand
" You are a irresponsible husband and your family is a waste family. Everyone in our family are stupids . One has a bad intentions on my daughter and a elder women says that my daughter is a disgrace for you family and blames my daughter for her husband and son death and you threw my daughter in the danger because of you mafia works ", Manish shouted at rajveer and Rajvanshi's
"Kya samj rahe ho tum log apne aap ko huh? Apne ap ko iss duniya ki Malik samjrahe ho kya? Aur meri natin ko apni naukar! Ek ek ki mu thodi dumga , agar ek aur shant meri natin ke khilaf bola tho!", Manish warned everyone
"Sir , I can -", rajveer started to Manish intrupted
"And you , just keep your mouth shut ", Manish spatted "because of you my grandchildren lost her mental stability and now she is marked as a bad omen ", Manish shouted at rajveer
" Day after day, someone or other's hurting ,y innocent daughter", Manish growled
Preeta stepped forward to control the situation
"Manish ji , "I know it hurts you to see your daughter being blamed for something she didn't do. But fighting with eachother is not the solution. Let sit and discuss peacefully ", preeta requested
"If you daughter face this situation, will you be quite preeta ji?", Swarna spatted, anger evident on her face
"My grandson accepted your Mentally unstable granddaughter as his wife and we accept this low class girl as our daughter in law , and you people humiliating us? From today onwards, Abhira is no longer a Rajvanshi. She's neither wife of rajveer nor a member of this family. The Rajvanshi name does not belong to her anymore."
A stunned silence filled the room. Abhira, trembling in Manish's grip, looked utterly shattered. Her lips quivered as she whispered, "No... I am puchku's wife", Abhira murmured, her voice trembling and tears welled up in her eyes
Dadiji's glare hardened as she stepped closer. "You were never fit to carry the Rajvanshi name," she spat. ", dadiji sneered
The venom in Dadiji's words was too much for rajveer to bear. His hands clenched into fists, and before anyone could stop him, " dadi!", he growled , stepped forward, his palm raised as though to slap Dadiji.
But at the last moment, he froze, his fingers trembling mid-air. He took a deep breath, his chest heaving with barely controlled rage
"Just go away from my eyes, or else I'll forget that you're older than me and my grandmother. If you stay in front of me for even a second, I swear I'll kill you right now."rajveer shouted, clenching his fist to control his anger
With a loud crash, the vase shattered into pieces on the floor right in front of Dadiji, making everyone flinch.
And all were shocked by realising that preeta throwed that vase on dadiji. "Enough!" Preeta roared, her voice echoing through the hall. Her eyes blazed with fury as she pointed a finger at Dadiji.
"You ruined my life years ago with your arrogance and selfishness!" Preeta shouted, her voice breaking with emotion. "And now, you dare to try and ruin my son's life too? Have you no shame? Have you no heart?"
Dadiji, momentarily taken aback, tried to respond, but Preeta didn't let her. "Abhira is Rajveer's wife!" she declared, her voice steady and defiant. "She is a part of this family whether you like it or not. You have no right to take away her name, her identity, or her place in this house!"
"Chii , you guys choosed that Abhira over than me", dadiji ji dramatically cried
"Will you go to your room orelse shall I kill you ", rajveer roared
Dadiji started to cry and ran to her room
All were having a heat argument but rajveer was immersed in his deep thoughts and Abhira was panicking due to arguments and clutching rajveer's shirt tightly
"Enough!" Swarna interjected, standing beside Manish. Her gaze was filled with cold determination as she added, "We're taking Abhira away from this madhouse. She doesn't belong here. She needs to be with people who care about her, not in this toxic place."
At her words, Abhira's grip on Rajveer tightened even more. She buried her face in his chest, tears streaming down her cheeks as she whimpered, "No... no... I don't want to go!"
Swarna stepped forward, her voice softening as she reached out to Abhira. "Abhira, come with us. We'll take care of you. You don't have to stay here anymore."
Abhira shook her head fiercely, her sobs growing louder. "No! I want to stay with Rajveer! Please, don't take me away! Puchku... p-please, tell them!" Her tear-filled eyes turned to Rajveer, pleading desperately.
Rajveer's heart twisted painfully at the sight of her tears, but he remained silent, his expression unreadable. Manish took another step closer, pointing an accusing finger at him. " we will allow you to be with Abhira if you choose Abhira over your so called family and come with us , if not you should stay away from Abhira forever ". Manish said, throwing rajveer in a twisted puzzle
For a moment, the room was filled with tension as all eyes turned to Rajveer. Abhira continued to cling to him, her sobs muffled against his chest. Finally, Rajveer took a deep breath and gently pried her arms away.
"Take her," he said quietly, his voice steady but cold.
