Author's pov:-
The air was thick with chaos and acrid smoke. Shouts and cries filled the street as a massive crowd gathered in front of a burning house. Flames roared, licking the night sky, casting an eerie orange glow over everything.
"Areyy aag ! Aag !(Fire ) ! Somebody call to fire service", a women screamed from the crowd
"There's someone trapped inside!" another man shouted, pointing at the inferno.
Swarna stood in the crowd, her hands trembling as she clutched onto Manish's arm. Her voice was hoarse from crying and shouting, "Help! Please, someone help! Our granddaughter... Abhira is inside! Please, someone save her!"
Tears streamed down her soot-streaked face, and her cries were met only with murmurs and the shaking heads of the bystanders, too afraid to step forward.
no one dared to move. The fire was relentless, consuming everything in its path. The house was nearly engulfed, its structure creaking ominously, as if it might collapse at any moment.Fear kept the onlookers rooted to their spots, their courage swallowed by the towering flames.
Just then, the sound of screeching tires broke through the chaos. A sleek black car pulled up to the curb abruptly. The car door slammed open, and Rajveer stepped out, his sharp eyes immediately scanning the scene.
His heart dropped to his stomach as he took in the sight of the inferno before him, the flames licking hungrily at the structure.
The tension in his chest tightened like a vice, and his hands balled into fists. "What the hell is going on?" he muttered to himself, his voice low but filled with unease.
He sprinted toward the burning mansion, his footsteps pounding against the pavement. As he reached the perimeter, he caught sight of Manish and Swarna standing near the entrance, their faces streaked with soot and tears.
The older couple locked eyes with him, and Manish, recognizing Rajveer, ran toward him with trembling legs.
"Rajveer!" Manish's voice was hoarse, filled with both desperation and hope. He grabbed Rajveer by the shoulders, his grip tight, almost pleading. "Abhira... she's inside! She's trapped in the fire! You have to save her!"Manish begged
Rajveer froze, his heart stopping for a moment as the words registered.
"What?" His voice came out as a whisper, disbelief flashing across his face. Then panic took over. "Abhira... she's in there?" His gaze shifted to the house, the flames dancing in the windows, and a wave of terror surged through him
The color drained from Rajveer's face. His heart clenched as panic gripped him like a vice. Abhira... trapped? The very thought was unbearable. His breaths quickened, and his hands clenched into fists.
Without wasting another second, Rajveer turned toward the house, his body moving before his mind could catch up. "Abhira!" he screamed, his voice cutting through the noise.
The front entrance was completely engulfed in flames, the heat searing even from a distance. He stopped, shielding his face with his arm, trying to find another way in. His eyes scanning every visible window and door. "Abhira! Answer me!" he yelled again, his voice cracking.
He tried the front door, but flames shot out, forcing him to stumble back. Frustration bubbled within him. His mind raced as he pulled out his phone, dialing quickly. "Rudransh!" he barked into the phone. "Get here now! Abhira is trapped in a burning house. Bring everyone-fire trucks, everything you can! I need backup within five minutes!"
He sent out a rapid message to his men, his hands shaking as he typed.
The crowd watched in tense silence, whispers breaking out. "Isn't that mafia king Rajveer Singh Rajvanshi?"
"He's going in! He's crazy!"
"But the fire... no one can survive that..."
Rajveer ignored the voices around him. His entire concentration was on abhira. The thought of Abhira suffering, crying for him, tore at his soul.
His heart was pounding, his entire body trembling with fear of losing abhira . "Abhira, hold on!" he muttered to himself, his eyes darting to the upper floors. "I'm coming, I promise!"
Rajveer's heart pounded as he sprinted to the back of the house, desperate for an entrance. His sharp eyes landed on a large glass door
Without hesitation, he grabbed a nearby metal rod and smashed it with a deafening crash. Shards of glass flew everywhere, but Rajveer ignored the cuts on his hands as he stepped into the burning house.
The suffocating heat hit him like a wall, and smoke filled his lungs with every breath, but Rajveer pressed on, his only thought being Abhira. "Abhira!" he shouted, his voice breaking. "Where are you?"
Smoke thickened the air, making it hard to breathe, and the flames danced menacingly,Rajveer coughed violently
A faint cry reached his ears, fragile and heartbreaking. He followed the sound, weaving through the chaos of the fire. His eyes burned, both from the smoke and the sight before him.
But his heart skipped to his stomach the very second he spotted abhira
Abhira stood a distance away, her tiny figure trembling, surrounded by a vicious circle of fire. Her once-soft features were marred with soot and burns, her arms blistered and raw.Her face was smeared with black soot
Tears streaked down her cheeks, cutting paths through the grime. Her eyes, filled with both fear and resolve, met his.
"Abhira!" he called again, his voice breaking with relief and anguish. He moved toward her instinctively, his feet stumbling over the debris, but she shook her head violently.
No, Rajveer!" she cried, shaking her head violently. "Don't come! Stay back! Don't save me!" Her childish voice wavered with both fear and resolve, making his chest tighten with anguish.
Rajveer stopped, his heart wrenching at the sight of her. "What are you saying? You'll get burnt-please, let me come to you!"
Abhira's lips quivered as she wiped her tears with the back of her soot-covered hand. "No... I don't want you to save me," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Are you out of your mind?" he shouted back, desperation evident in his tone. "If I don't come, you'll get burnt! You'll-"
"I will get burnt and die!" Abhira interrupted, her voice cracking with emotion. "And then... I will come back alive! I have to do this, puchku!"
Her words struck him like a bolt of lightning. He stared at her, stunned, disbelief clouding his features. "What... what are you saying, cupcake?" His voice trembled, panic gripping his heart.
Abhira's tears fell faster as she explained, her voice barely audible over the raging fire. "Dadiji said... I need to do agnipravesh to prove my loyalty. If I do this, then everyone will believe me that I love only you and I don't love Rehan. Then... then I can live with you and Kiaan happily!"
Rajveer heart gets shattered into million pieces, by listening her innocent words. The thought -that everyone is making her a fool by using her innocence and her love her him , Her love for him is becoming a death trap for her - is killing him from inside
"No, sweetheart. You don't need to prove your love on me to anyone, Abhira. I know you love me, my heart feels it. That's all that matters!" Rajveer shouted, his voice desperate, not to scare her but to bring her out of the lies planted by Dadiji in her mind.
He stepped closer, despite the flames that licked at his skin, ignoring the searing heat. But Abhira was stepping back, away from him.
Abhira's fear turned into Anger, she shook her head violently "no! You don't know that I love you. You don't love me anymore puchku", abhira shouted back . She just want rajveer to love her , to take her back to their home and she can do anything to get Rajveer's Love
"Thenwhy didn't you come back for me?" Abhira cried, tears streaming down her soot-streaked face. "Why didn't you take me with you? And why... why did you ask 'Who is this?' when I called you on the phone?" Abhira questioned rajveer, her voice, high-pitched and desperate, cut through the chaos.
Rajveer's eyes widened, his body freezing for a moment as the weight of her words hit him. She called me? He never knew she had tried to reach him.
Her words hit Rajveer like a physical blow, and he stumbled back in shock. His heart ached with the realization, the guilt crushing him like a thousand pounds. His mind is trying to process her words, trying to remember when did she call him but he didn't remember anything
Before he could even say a word to Abhira, the room erupted in a sudden, violent surge of flames. A massive burst of fire swept across the room, sending abhira on the Hot , burning floor
"No!" Rajveer shouted as he watched Abhira's arms and hands catch fire.
Abhira let out a blood-curdling scream, her voice echoing through the house. " Ahhhh! Puchku jal rahi hai ( It's burning! It's burning!)" she cried, collapsing onto the searing hot floor. Her body convulsed in pain as the flames licked at her skin.
"Abhira!" Rajveer screamed in terror, his body moving before his mind could catch up. He had to get to her. He had to save her. He couldn't lose her-not like this.
He lunged forward, ignoring the fire spreading around him. The pain in his heart was unbearable, far greater than any physical pain he could feel. " Cupcake I'm coming! Hold on!"
Abhira's cries were relentless, filled with the torment of her burns. " Mummaaa!, dard horaha hai ! Bahut dard ho raha hai!( It hurts! It hurts so much!)" she sobbed, her body trembling violently.
As he scrambled toward her, a burning sensation suddenly jolted through his back and shoulder. I'm on fire, Rajveer realized too late. His clothes were burning, his skin searing, but he didn't stop.he didn't care. He couldn't.
The searing pain was nothing compared to the anguish of seeing Abhira suffer.
His His shoulder, engulfed in flames and the searing pain should have been unbearable but Rajveer didn't even flinch. He didn't even feel it. All he could see-all he could feel-was Abhira's pain.
Every scream she uttered was a dagger to his heart, a searing pain far worse than any fire could inflict.
He pushed through the flames, his face drenched in sweat, his vision blurred with tears. Every step felt like a lifetime as he moved closer to her.
His body was in pain, but he didn't even feel it. But His heart ached for Abhira's pain. He only felt her torment , where she was crying from the burns on her arms and palms but he forgot that his shoulder caught fire. All that mattered was getting to her, holding her, and saving her.
"Noo! Ahhhhh!", He screamed in pain , but not for himself, for Abhira - he only feels abhira's pain , even his pain was bigger than her
"Abhira ko kitna dard horaha hoga , uske hath aur pair bahut komal hai. Bechari kaise jheel rahi ho gi ", he whispered to himself, not showing sympathy in her but motivating himself to move forward and save his Abhira
"Naiiii! ",His cries were for her, he couldn't even see her in pain "Abhira!" he howled, his voice breaking as tears streamed down his face. He reached out for her, desperate to close the distance, but the fire raged on, mocking his every effort.
"Cupcake..... don't worry... Your puchku will save you, even if it kills me", rajveer chocked out , but his voice was firm
"Ahhhhhh!",Abhira's screams grew louder, her body writhing on the burning ground, and Rajveer's heart felt like it was being ripped apart. His own skin blistered and burning , but he didn't notice. He didn't care. All he felt was her agony, her suffering.
"Abhira, I'm coming!" he shouted, his voice shaking as he pushed through the pain, ignoring the fire that clung to him like a relentless predator. "Just hold on! Please, hold on!"
But Abhira shook her head weakly, her voice barely audible over the crackling flames. "You got hurt... don't come... just go..." she whimpered, her words slurring as exhaustion began to claim her.
"No!" Rajveer screamed, his desperation reaching its peak. "I'm not leaving you! Never! "
Every step he took felt like an eternity, every second filled with unbearable fear and anguish. The fire on his shoulder is still burning his skin , his body screamed for relief, but he ignored it all.
Rajveer managed to smother the fire on his shoulder with his bare hands, ignoring the searing pain, his only focus on reaching Abhira
He stumbled forward, his breaths ragged as he reached her, finally breaking through the barrier of fire that had kept them apart. Abhira's tear-streaked face turned towards him, and the moment their eyes met, her lips quivered, and she sobbed, "puchku..."
[ Finally guys my abhiveer (Abhira + rajveer) are finally together, they have been reunited π€§πππ§Ώπ§Ώ]
Without hesitation, Rajveer dropped to his knees and pulled her into his arms, clutching her tightly as though he could shield her from the entire world.
"Puchkuuuu" , abhira murmured, Abhira's small frame trembled against his, but her arms wrapped around him just as fiercely, gripping him like he was her lifeline. Both of them cried, their tears mixing with the soot and smoke around them, their relief palpable.
They both are lost in eachother's arm's . It was as if the chaos around them ceased to exist. The crackling flames, the suffocating heat, the suffocating smoke-none of it mattered.
In each other's arms, they found the peace they had been starving for, the solace they had been yearning for. Their souls, tormented by separation and misunderstanding, finally felt whole.
Both of them cried, tears streaming down their soot-streaked faces, but this time it wasn't from pain or fear-it was the overwhelming relief of being together again, after their seperation
"Abhira," Rajveer murmured, his voice breaking as he caressed her soot-streaked hair."I thought I lost you," Rajveer whispered, his voice breaking as he pressed his face into her hair. "Never leave me again, Abhira. Never."
she said between hiccupping sobs, her voice childlike and broken. "I was so scared, puchku."
Rajveer finally loosened his hold, his hands still trembling as he cupped her face and wiped away her tears with his thumbs. "Abhira, we need to get out of here," he said softly, his voice laced with concern.
He helped her to stand, his hands never leaving her arms as if afraid she might disappear. But as she tried to take a step, her knees buckled, and she stumbled forward into his arms. Rajveer's heart leapt in panic, and he immediately steadied her.
"Abhira, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice laced with worry as he cupped her face and looked her over. "What happened? Are you hurt?"
Abhira clung to his shirt, her face scrunching in pain. "My feet... they're burning," she whimpered, her voice childlike and pained. "I didn't wear slippers, and... and..." She hesitated, tears pooling in her eyes again. "And my stomach... it hurts so much, puchku... I can't walk."
Rajveer's heart clenched, his panic deepening at her words. "Oh, Abhira," he said softly, his voice filled with love and guilt as he gently lifted her into his arms. "Why didn't you tell me sooner? I'm sorry bachaa i forgot that you are in periods.I'm so sorry, my love."
Abhira rested her head against his chest, her tears soaking into his shirt. "Don't leave me, puchku," she whispered, her voice trembling. " i don't want to die puchku. I want to live with you , with kiaan" she murmured, her strength fading
Rajveer tightened his hold on her, his own tears threatening to fall again. "nothing will happens to us abhira ," he promised, his voice steady despite the storm of emotions inside him. " you , me and Kiaan, we will be together. We will live happily " rajveer said firmly , hai voice filled with determination but his voice was unclear
Rajveer's arms tightened around her, his own tears falling as he pressed a kiss to her forehead.
Carrying her close to his heart, Rajveer began walking out of the burning house,Each step was a battle, each breath a burning torment. His body screamed in agony, but his mind was singularly focused on one thing-getting Abhira to safety.
"Hold on, Abhira," he whispered, his voice hoarse and shaky. Abhira's fragile frame was limp against him, her burnt hands clutching weakly at his shirt. Her eyes fluttered, barely open, and her tears mixed with the soot on her cheeks.
But just as they neared what seemed like a safe way out, a massive beam, engulfed in flames, came crashing down in front of them with a deafening thud. The impact sent shockwaves through the floor, causing Rajveer to stumble. He held onto Abhira tightly, trying to shield her, but the glass table beneath them shattered, and they fell onto it with a sickening crash.
The sound of shattering glass echoed through the house, followed by an eerie silence. Blood began pooling around their still forms. Abhira's tiny hand fell limp from Rajveer's grasp, her fingers stained red. Rajveer lay motionless, his arms still cradling her protectively even in unconsciousness, their bodies entwined in a heartbreaking tableau of pain and sacrifice.
In Rajvanshi's mansion
in Rajveer's room, Kiaan's wails pierced through the quiet night. The little boy cried inconsolably, his small hands clutching the air as though reaching out for something-or someone. Preeta rushed to his side, her heart pounding. "Kiaan, what happened beta ?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Riya stood nearby, her face pale as fear gripped her. " taiji Why is he crying like this all of a sudden?" she whispered, glancing nervously at Preeta.
Kiaan's cries only grew louder, his tiny body trembling as if sensing the turmoil unfolding elsewhere. Preeta's breath hitched, an ominous feeling settling deep in her chest. "Something's wrong," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. Her gaze darted toward the mantle where Rajveer and Abhira's photo was placed.
As if responding to her unspoken fears, the photo frame fell to the ground with a loud crash. Preeta turned sharply, her heart racing as she saw the shattered glass. She moved to pick up the fallen frame, her hands trembling. But as she touched the broken shards, a sharp edge sliced through her skin. Blood dripped from her hand, staining the photo beneath it.
Her vision blurred with tears as she stared at the photo, now marked with her blood. Rajveer's smiling face stared back at her, but all she could see was the fear in her heart. "Rajveer..." she whispered, her voice cracking as dread washed over her. "Abhira..."
Kiaan's cries echoed louder in the background, filling the room with an unbearable sense of foreboding. Preeta clutched the photo to her chest, her tears falling freely now. "Please... let them be safe," she prayed, her voice breaking with every word. But deep down, a chilling fear had already gripped her soul-something terrible had happened. Something she could only hope wasn't true.
Back to Goenka mansion:-
Amid the flickering flames and suffocating smoke, Rajveer and Abhira lay unconscious amidst the shattered remnants of the glass table. Blood pooled beneath them, mingling with the ash and debris.
Rajveer's body was motionless, sprawled across the ground, but even in his unconscious state, his arms instinctively cradled Abhira.
Abhira, lay atop Rajveer's chest, her small hands resting limply over his heart as if seeking the safety and warmth she always found in him. Her hair, matted with soot and blood, fell over her face, her breathing faint and shallow
