Author's POV:-
"They can't be gone... Rajveer... Abhira... my children... my son..." Her body trembled as she clutched at Aryan's chest, her sobs wracking her body
"No , no . nurse please check Them once again . They cannot ended up like this ", preeta begged the nurse
but Aryan caught her, his own face pale, his body trembling as he held her tightly.
" nothing happened to our children, preeta", Aryan pacified her and turned to nurse, who was also becoming emotional
"Im..im ...s-", nurse started but
"Nooo ! just go back and check their pulses again . They had chances to live , if they undergoes surgery. I'm also a medical student ", Aliya ordered, her face filled with tension and unable to accept the nurse words
"No! No, they can't be gone!" Rudransh whispered, his voice cracking. His eyes filled with tears as he ran toward the nurse, grabbing her arms. "Tell me you're lying! TELL ME YOU'RE LYING!"
But manish was stood like a statute, tears freely streaming down from his eyes
"I cannot save my daughter", Swarna cried
But Kiaan was not crying anymore. Except Kiaan all were crying with tension and grief
But then, amidst the chaos, a doctor stormed into the room and scolded the nurse. "What nonsense are you talking? You've given the wrong information! It's the Raghuvanshi's son and daughter who are dead , not the Rajvanshis!"
Everyone froze. The words hung in the air for a moment before they sank in.
Preeta blinked through her tears. "W-What?" Her voice trembled, hope flickering in her heart like a dying flame catching a sudden gust of air. "They ... are alive?"
"Thank God ! my children are ALIVE!" Tears of joy poured down her face.
Aryan's body stiffened. His eyes darkened with a fierce mix of relief and anger. "What did you say?!" he growled, stepping toward the doctor
The doctor nodded quickly, guilt washing over his face. "I deeply apologize for the confusion. I can assure you, Rajveer and Abhira are out of danger. They are stable now but need to remain under observation for the night."
A wave of relief crashed over the family. Preeta burst into fresh tears, clutching Aryan's arm. "He's alive! Our son is alive!" she cried, falling into his arms.
Aryan's eyes glistened as he looked up, his voice low but steady. "Thank you, God." Then his expression darkened. He turned back to the doctor. "But this mistake... this disgusting mistake... Do you realize what you've done to us?!"
He grabbed the doctor by his collar. "HOW DARE YOU play with our emotions like that?!"
Swarna stood up, her hands trembling. "You almost gave me a heart attack... I thought I'd lost my grand daughter forever!" Her voice cracked, but her eyes burned with anger.
Rudransh wiped his tears and stepped forward, his voice sharp and furious. "You scared us out of our souls! My brother and sister's life isn't something you can toss around like a report mix-up!
The doctor bowed his head in shame. "I sincerely apologize. It was an error in communication. I take full responsibility."
Aryan's chest heaved with anger. "Your apology won't erase the panic you caused. My wife nearly collapsed, my family shattered in seconds!" His voice softened slightly but still carried steel. "Make sure this never happens to anyone again. Ever."
Riya wiped her tears, her face still red with rage. "You better make sure to check the patient's name before you announce, from now on",
Preeta turned to Aryan, gripping his arm tightly. "Let's focus on our children now. We'll deal with their negligence later."
Aryan nodded, his eyes still blazing with anger. "You're right... Rajveer and Abhira need us."
As the family stormed toward the ICU, Riya kissed Kiaan's head once again. "See, baby? Your mama and papa are fighters. They'll be back with you soon."
Preeta wiped her tears, turning to the doctor. "Can we... can we see our son and Abhira?"
The doctor nodded. "They're still unconscious, but you can see them one at a time. They're stable, and with rest, they'll recover fully."
The doctors carefully shifted Rajveer and Abhira to a VIP room for close observation. Aryan and Rudransh stayed with Rajveer, while Preeta, Aliya, and Riya stayed with Abhira. The tension in the air was thick, their hearts silently praying for their loved ones to wake up.
THE NEXT MORNING :-
Aryan sat beside him, his eyes red from a sleepless night, his hand clutching Rajveer's with a grip so tight it seemed as if he feared losing his son again.
Rudransh leaned against the wall, his gaze flickering between Rajveer and his father, "bhai Yaar please wake up . I can't see you like this", rudransh whispered
Suddenly, Rajveer's eyelids fluttered. His breathing quickened, and his fingers twitched slightly. Then his eyes opened fully, confusion clouding his expression as he tried to focus.
"Rajveer?" Aryan called softly, his voice trembling. He leaned closer, brushing a hand over Rajveer's forehead, relief flooding his face. "Son... thank God! You're awake!"
Rajveer blinked, his breathing still ragged. He suddenly sat up himself, but winced as pain shot through his body. His eyes darted around the room, panic rising.
"Abhira!" he gasped, his voice hoarse but desperate. "Where's Abhira? ........Is..... she... is she okay?" His chest heaved as he tried to get out of bed, but his legs wobbled, and he nearly fell.
Aryan caught him, his heart clenching at the sight of his son's weakness and fear. "Rajveer, calm down! She's fine... she's alive. You'll see her, but first-"
"No!" Rajveer interrupted, his eyes wild. "I need to see her now!" He looked at Rudransh for help, his tone almost pleading.
Aryan quickly grabbed his shoulders to steady him. "Calm down, Rajveer. She's safe... she's in the next room. Preeta and Aliya are taking care of her."
But rajveer was not listening to Aryan,His eyes were fixed on the door, every ounce of his strength fueled by his need to see Abhira.
"No... I need to see her!" Rajveer's eyes welled up with tears, his voice trembling. "I have to... please, sir, let me go to her. Just help me to get her ."
Aryan exhaled deeply, knowing there was no stopping his son. "Alright, but take it slow," he said, supporting Rajveer's other side. "We'll go together."
Rudransh quickly moved to Rajveer's side, looping an arm around his brother to support him. "Easy, bhai... we'll go together. I'll take you to her, bhai. Just lean on me."
They stumbled to Abhira room
The moment they entered, Rajveer's breath caught in his throat. Abhira lay on the bed, her face pale, her arms bandaged, and her head wrapped in gauze. Preeta sat beside her, gently stroking her hair, tears silently falling from her eyes.
"Abhira..." Rajveer whispered, his voice breaking as he stumbled toward her bed. He dropped to his knees beside her, cradling her hand in his trembling fingers. "I'm here... wake up... please, wake up."
Preeta gently placed her hand on Rajveer's head. "She'll be fine, beta. She's a fighter, just like you."
Rajveer's eyes never left Abhira's face. "I won't let you go... not now, not ever." His voice was soft but firm, his tears dripping onto her hand.
Aliya and Riya exchanged emotional glances, their hearts swelling with hope. Rudransh placed a comforting hand on Rajveer's shoulder. "She's strong, bhai. She'll wake up soon... just like you did."
Rajveer nodded, determination shining through his exhaustion. "And when she does, I'll be right here... I'm never leaving her side again."
His thumb softly brushed over her cheek, his heart breaking at the sight of her fragile state. His voice cracked as he whispered, "Her skin... it's so delicate, so sensitive. She... she cries even when a tiny ant bites her... When she gets a small scratch, she runs to me with tears in her eyes, expecting me to fix it with a kiss and a cartoon bandage."
Rajveer swallowed hard, his voice breaking. "But now... look at her, Aliya. She's hurt so badly. Her body is covered with burns and wounds... and I couldn't protect her. I couldn't stop this from happening to her." His breath hitched, and he closed his eyes, struggling to contain the wave of guilt crashing over him. "She must've been in so much pain... unbearable pain. And If I Didn't let her to go away, now she wouldn't be in this state "
"Such a worst husband I'm ", rajveer whispered ,, gritting hai teeth, blaming himself
Aliya placed a comforting hand on Rajveer's shoulder, her own eyes filled with tears. "Bhai... she's a fighter, just like you. She's going to get through this, and when she does, she'll run into your arms just like always and cals you 'puchkuu' again"
Rajveer shook his head, tears falling freely. "I failed her, Aliya... I promised her that nothing would ever hurt her, that I'd always be there to protect her. And now... now she's lying here because of me."
Aliya knelt beside him, squeezing his hand. "You didn't fail her. You risked your life to save her, Bhai. You carried her through that fire. You fought for her, even with dadi... and you'll keep fighting until she's smiling again."
"She's going to wake up. She loves you too much to leave you, Rajveer. Just hold on a little longer. She needs you now more than ever.", Aliya said
Rajveer nooded
His tears fell onto her cheek, and for a moment, it almost felt like she stirred. Abhira finger were slightly moved and Her eyelashes fluttered slightly, and her lips quivered, trying to form words. Rajveer's breath hitched. His eyes widened, and he leaned closer, his heart racing.
Abhira! Open your eyes... yes, yes, just like that! Look at me!" Rajveer leaned in close, his eyes wide with both panic and excitement
Abhira blinked at him, her innocent eyes barely able to focus. Rajveer began frantically waving his hand in front of her. "Tell me how many fingers I'm holding up! Abhira, can you hear me? Blink twice if you can hear me!" He quickly shifted between two and three fingers. "Look! Abhira! Tell me!"
Abhira's lips parted, trying to speak, but Rajveer was relentless in his questioning. "Are you in pain? Does your head hurt? Shall I call doctor? Can you move your hands? Nod if you can feel this-"
"Rajveer, calm down!" Preeta scolded gently, stepping forward. "Give her some space!"
"Arey beta let her breath", Swarna said
Aliya joined in, laughing softly. "Bhai, you're behaving like a first-time father!"
But Rajveer ignored them all, now almost hovering over Abhira. "Don't talk, just signal. Abhira, do you recognize me? Am I holding your left hand or right hand? Tell me-"
Abhira's patience finally snapped. With her weak hand, she lightly slapped Rajveer across the face. "Stop it,Let me talk!"
A stunned silence filled the room. Rajveer froze, his mouth hanging open in shock. His hand instinctively went to his cheek, where Abhira's soft palm had landed.
The room went silent for a moment before erupting in laughter. Preeta clapped her hands in delight. "Oh my God! The great mafia king Rajveer silenced by his wife's slap!"
Aryan laughed so hard that tears formed in his eyes. "Finally! Someone can control Rajveer!"
Rudransh leaned against the wall, smirking. "Looks like Bhabhi is the real boss here."
Aliya chuckled, patting Rajveer's shoulder. "Looks like your reign is over, bhai."
Rajveer stood frozen for a second, then broke into a wide grin. He gently held Abhira's face, his eyes filled with love and relief. "She can slap me as many times as she want. She is my wife, she can do whatever want's to , she has full right on me and every part of my life ", rajveer proudly declared
He turned to abhira "you can do anything you want jaan , u can even sleep by hugging me and keeping you leg on mine while sleeping, kicking me from our bed , plugging my hai , evrything but please stay with me ", rajveer said ,his eyes filled with love and relief .
"Did you understand bacha?", rajveer asked gently cupping her face
But Abhira was silent
Rajveer's pov:-
My heart soared seeing Abhira sitting up with Preeta Maa's help. I leaned closer, ready to hear that sweet word she always called me-Puchku. The name that only she could say. The name that made me feel like the most special person in the world.
But what came out broke me.
"Rajveer can you leave me alone, i want to rest."
I froze. Rajveer? Since when am I Rajveer to her? She always called me Puchku, her Puchku.
I forced a smile, my voice trembling as I said, "Abhira... why are you calling me Rajveer? You've never done that before."
She looked away, her lips pressing into a stubborn pout. "Because I don't want to talk to you, Rajveer."
She was treating me like a stranger.
"Abhira..." My voice cracked as I smiled, trying to lighten the moment. "Puchku! Call me Puchku, come on. You always do!"
But Abhira shook her head, crossing her arms stubbornly. "I don't want to talk to you, Rajveer."
I felt like the ground had slipped beneath me. My chest tightened, and a lump formed in my throat. I couldn't breathe. How could she still be angry with me?
"Mein iss duniya mein sab kuch seh sakta hoon..." I whispered, my voice trembling. "...par tumhari yeh narazgi nahi."
She still didn't look at me. Her lips pursed in defiance. "I said I don't want to talk to you," she repeated firmly.
I knelt in front of her, holding her hand tightly, my voice desperate. "Abhira, please! Say Puchku... just once. Please, mujhe maaf kardo. Main waapas tumhara Puchku banna chahta hoon. Mujhe ignore mat karo... main sach mein toot jaunga."
But Abhira folded her arms, her little nose scrunching up like she always did when she was upset. "No! I don't want to talk to you."
Her rejection stung more than any bullet ever could. I stood up, a sudden idea sparking in my head. If she wouldn't listen, I'd have to play dirty.
"Ok then fine , but if you don't talk to me , i swear I will do something unthinkable ", i tried to threaten her so that she can talk with me
Abhira blinked at me in surprise. Preeta Maa gasped. Aliya covered her mouth to hide a laugh.
Suddenly, Aryan sir (his Dad )walked over and smacked me on the back of my head. "Idiot! Drama mat kar. You're the one who pushed her out of your life, hurt her so badly, and now you want her to come back just like that?"
I rubbed the back of my head, pouting like a scolded child. "But..., I didn't mean to..."
Before I could finish, Abhira giggled, her eyes sparkling mischievously. She looked at Aryan and said, "Papa, take this bottle too and beat him again!"
I clutched my chest and began spinning dramatically like a kid in pain.
I danced in front of her like a little kid whose candy had just been stolen. My hands holding my sides, pretending to be in excruciating pain
"Ahh! It hurts! It really hurts! Someone help me!" I danced around, pretending to be in unbearable agony.
Everyone burst into laughter.
Aryan Papa chuckled. "Rajveer, stop your drama. You're embarrassing yourself."
"Yaar, tum sab kya kar rahe ho?!" I shouted, glaring at them. "Out! All of you. Leave us alone!"
"No way," Rudransh teased. "We want to see how the mighty Mafia King handles rejection!"
No one listened. They stood there, enjoying my misery. I had no choice. Time to up my game.
I climbed onto the bed, sat in front of Abhira, and took her tiny legs in my hands. Looking into her eyes, I gently pulled her closer and pressed a soft but deep kiss on her lips.
The room fell silent
The entire room went dead silent. Faces turned pink with embarrassment. Aryan Papa coughed. Preeta quickly turned away, muttering, "Chalo... I think they need privacy."
"Oh my God!" Aliya gasped, covering her eyes. Preeta Maa looked away, smiling awkwardly. Rudransh whistled.
"Arey rajveer just hesitate", preeta mam teased, covering her eyes with her both hands
Everyone left the room in a hurry, their faces red with embarrassment. The door closed, leaving just the two of us.
I backed away with a mischievous grin, but Abhira narrowed her eyes and pinched my arm hard. "Ouch!" I yelped, laughing despite the pain.
"I'm still angry with you!" she declared, crossing her arms again.
"Ahhh! Abhira! That hurts!" I whined, rubbing the spot she pinched.
She folded her arms stubbornly. "I'm still angry with you!"
My smile softened. "How long will you stay angry, meri jaan?"
She thought for a second. "One hour."
After a moment, she smiled mischievously and said, "No... ten seconds."
I grinned. "Deal! Let's count together."
I held her hand gently and started counting down. "Ten... nine... eight... seven..."
Her eyes sparkled as we counted down. When we hit "one," her face lit up.
"Puchkuuuuuu!" she cried, throwing herself at me and hugging me tightly. Tears streamed down her face as she clung to me with all her strength. As always, she burried her face on my chest
Author's POV:-
Tears streamed down Abhira's cheeks as she clung to Rajveer tightly, her tiny hands gripping his shirt like she was afraid to let go
I love you, Puchku... I love you so much," she whispered, her voice trembling.
For a moment, Rajveer froze. His heart stopped, and his mind couldn't process what he had just heard. His eyes widened in disbelief. "K-kya kaha tumne?" he asked, his voice barely audible.
(What did you said?)
Abhira pulled back slightly, her innocent eyes meeting his. "I said I love you, Puchku."
, his heart thundering in his chest. His eyes widened in disbelief. "again please, what... Did u just said now?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper.
Abhira, wiping her tears, smiled softly and repeated, "I love you, Puchku!"
That was it. The world around Rajveer blurred, his brain short-circuited, and his knees buckled. He collapsed onto the floor, fainting in pure happiness.
Abhira panicked. "Puchkuuu! Get up! What happened?!" She quickly grabbed a glass of water and splashed it on his face.
"Utho, Puchku! Don't scare me!"
Rajveer groaned, slowly opening his eyes. His head rested on her lap as he stared at her with a goofy smile. "Abhira... kya kaha tumne? Ek baar phir se bolo," he asked, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
(Please say it again)
Abhira blushed but smiled sweetly. "I love you, Puchku."
That was it. Rajveer shot up like a firecracker, his happiness bursting out of him. He jumped off the bed, throwing his arms in the air. "Yessss! She loves me! My wife loves me!"
Without any care for his injured body, Rajveer ran around the room like a child who had just won his favorite toy. His voice echoed through the hospital halls as he shouted, "Hey Jaipur walon! Suno! Meri biwi ne mujhe I love you bola!"
(Hey jaipur people, listen! My wife Said i love you , to me)
Abhira sat on the bed, laughing uncontrollably at his antics. Preeta, Aryan, and Rudransh peeked through the door, struggling to hold in their laughter as they watched Rajveer's over-the-top celebration.
He twirled around in circles, pretending to play the dhol in the air. He did the bhangra, followed by a clumsy breakdance move that ended with him sliding on the floor. His happiness was uncontrollable.
He climbed onto a chair, spread his arms wide, and yelled, "Yeh moment likh lo! (Note it down)Rajveer Singh rajvanshi ka sabse bada achievement!"(it's rajveer singh rajvanshi's biggest achievement)
He blew kisses into the air, and even jumped onto the bed, hugging Abhira again. "Main duniya ka sabse lucky aadmi hoon!" he declared dramatically.
( I'm the luckiest person in the whole world)
Abhira giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Puchku, bas karo! Log kya sochenge?"
(Stop it puchku, don't you care what people think about you)
Rajveer pulled her closer, grinning from ear to ear. "Kuch bhi sochenge, mujhe koi farq nahi padta. Tumne 'I love you' bola... ab main kuch bhi karne ke liye tayar hoon!"
(Let them whatever they want to think .I don't care . U said I love you and I can do anything for you)
And with that, the room filled with nothing but laughter, love, and endless joy-a moment they would cherish forever.
Rajveer couldn't contain himself. His heart was bouncing like a rubber ball, and his face lit up with pure joy. Overwhelmed by what he had just heard, he suddenly stood up and rushed out of the room like a madman.
Preeta and Aryan were startled. "Rajveer, where are you going?" Preeta called out, but Rajveer didn't stop.
He burst into the hallway, grinning like a child who had just found a treasure. "Hey, sab suno! Meri biwi ne mujhe 'I love you' bola! I LOVE YOU!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, arms wide open, spinning around like a kid in a playground.
The hospital staff paused, staring at him in confusion. Some smiled, while others giggled. "Sir, this is a hospital," a nurse reminded him gently, but Rajveer didn't care.
Aliya and Rudransh, who were standing nearby, exchanged amused glances. "Bhai, calm down! You're behaving like a six-year-old," Rudransh teased, folding his arms.
Aliya smirked. "Haan, ab Rajveer mafia king nahi raha... ab toh yeh pyaar ka deewana ban chuka hai!"
Rajveer ran back to them, his eyes shining with excitement. "Kya pata tum dono ne kabhi I love you suna ho kisi se, magar main toh sun chuka hoon! Abhira ne mujhe 'I love you' bola!"
Rudransh chuckled and ruffled Rajveer's hair. "Haan, haan, suna. Lekin yeh bata... Abhira kya kahegi jab tujhe yeh drama karte dekhegi?"
Rajveer leaned in, lowering his voice mischievously. "Kya kahegi? Bas ek aur 'I love you' bolegi!" he said shamelessly
Aliya laughed softly. "Haan, lekin uske pehle tujhe daat bhi padegi."
Rajveer raised his hands dramatically. "Uski daat bhi mujhe I love you jaise hi lagti hai!" He turned to the random doctors and patients nearby and shouted again, "Jaipur walon, suno! Meri Abhira mujhse pyaar karti hai!"
Back in the room, Abhira could hear him, her cheeks turning red. She shook her head, covering her face with her hands. "Puchku pagal ho gaye," she muttered under her breath, but her smile gave her away.
Aliya patted Rajveer's back. "Bas, ab andar chalo, warna Abhira sach mein gussa ho jayegi."
Rajveer nodded eagerly and dashed back inside, still buzzing with happiness, completely unaware of how childish and adorable he looked to everyone around him.
